I had so much fun with these two – we started the session by touring a special location the bride had in mind for their wedding photo’s later this summer, and then headed out to a nearby spot I had in mind for some fun in the snow! These two were up for anything and didn’t mind a bit that it was a tiny bit cold outside. 

The weather outside may be slightly confused about spring this year.. nice days followed by more snowy days.. throw in a bit of rain.. but inside the Hotel McDonald just a day after the rest of Edmonton was hit with another foot of snow, it was positively springy! Roses and Peonies, a lovely Bride and Groom, amazing styling, beautiful cakes.. well you can see for yourself!

In March I had the opportunity to spend the weekend with Becky from Just For You Photography and Susan from Picture That Photography for their wedding photography workshop. It is important to me as a photographer to always continue learning, so off to Edmonton I went. We spent two days just talking photography and shooting. These images are from day 2 of the workshop; and are just too beautiful NOT to share!

On Friday afternoon I had finally had enough. This needed to change – promptly! So I set to work. First stop.. pinterest. My favorite place for inspiration! You can check out my “home office” pin board.

After a couple of late nights, plenty of frustration with myself for letting things get this far out of control and many hours sorting, filing, and cleaning in general, I am happy to say that this morning I was able to sit down and get to work in a much friendlier feeling space. Do you feel like you can be more productive in a clean, organized and tidy environment? I sure am.

I have a couple of finishing touches that I would like to make in the space – but as soon as I do that I will be sure to post some after pics!

I first met the B family a couple of years ago when I did Matt & Lisa’s engagement session. Then again at their wedding, and now this summer for family photos.

This session worked out wonderfully – schedule wise it was the only day that worked for everyone in about a 2 month period.. and it was of course POURING rain earlier in the day. When the rain stopped we decided to go ahead with the photos.

I spent the entire session giggling and laughing with this very enjoyable group. I hope they had as much fun as I did!

I made the short trek up to Dawson Creek for this beauty’s Grad 12 Graduation/BBQ back in June. Having graduated from the same high school it was very cool to see that they are still doing many of the same grad traditions that we also did back in the day (2001).
